Review

“The Subtle Body Coloring Book is intriguing and fun. It provides all of us with a brilliant and kinesthetic way to learn the energy systems of our bodies while also relaxing and enjoying ourselves.” ―Northrup, MD, author of the New York Times bestsellers Goddesses Never Age; Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom, and The Wisdom of Menopause

“When we live with an awareness of color, we live a more colorful life―we go from bland to vibrant, from lackluster to vital. Let yourself go full-spectrum through the conduit of creativity with this exciting Subtle Body Coloring Book!” ―Dr. Deanna Minich, author of Whole Detox

“Cyndi Dale once again brings highly esoteric and very subtle energy into the realm of play and learning. What better way to learn about these powerful systems than to engage the unconscious directly by means of art: colors, shapes, and play. Although the energy systems she describes transcend easy-to-categorize shapes and contours, Dale offers a way to begin to imagine these systems―and begin to feel and sense them within ourselves―by leading us into the creative, imaginal realm. From there, our inner artist can begin to sense what exists all around us, but is very difficult to pin down. This is a gift to students and teachers of subtle energy, and to anyone whose inner child is yearning for both advanced knowledge and a simple way to get there.” ―Lauren Walker, author of Energy Medicine Yoga and The Energy Medicine Yoga Prescription

“All those who need to understand the critical issue of energy anatomy can benefit from this great workbook.” ―C. Norman Shealy, MD, PhD, founder and CEO, International Institute of Holistic Medicine

“Wow! Such a beautiful way to deeply learn about the subtle energy systems of humanity: meridians, chakras, and colors. Live, love, and learn with this experiential coloring book!” ―Brigitte Mars, coauthor of The Country Almanac of Home Remedies and The Home Reference to Holistic Health and Healing

“The Subtle Body Coloring book is a wonderful, engaged way to learn more about the energy body and energy fields. I love that Cyndi Dale included so much information on auric fields as it is key to healing work, distance healing work, and everyday interaction in the world. I am a huge fan of this coloring book and will use it with my energy students.” ―Dr. Ann Marie Chiasson, Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona and author of Energy Healing

“The ‘field’ of energy medicine has become a legitimate and serious focus of study within physics and health care. We are happy for this! And thanks to Cyndi Dale, we now have a new creative option for study and integration of the fascinating concepts of the human energy system beyond scientific articles and textbooks. A lovely complement between the art texts of Alex Grey’s Sacred Mirrors and the intellectually oriented scientific literature, Cyndi and her artist colleague, Richard Wehrman, offer us both a FUN and meaningful method to further integrate our understanding of the mystery of our human being-ness! Through this fascinating and well done coloring book, one finds a lovely balance between ‘just enough’ text to whet our left brain’s appetite for information and an artistic plethora of black and white figures with their energy anatomy, which satisfies the right brain and awaits your colored pencils and individual creativity! I will happily share this with students, colleagues, friends, and kids of all ages!” ―Cynthia Hutchison DNSc, RN, HTCP/I, Educational Program Director, Healing Touch Program; owner of Boulder Healing Touch

“Cyndi Dale’s The Subtle Body Coloring Book makes the learning of energy into a fun and adventurous journey! She uses different healing modalities from a variety of traditions, which provides us with wonderful interactive overview and are cross-information between each other. I strongly recommend this unique book!” ―Robert Peng, author of The Master Key

“Exploring subtle realms of healing brings together multiple ways of knowing and being. This coloring book allows us to learn and engage our imaginations in ways that embrace our expanded consciousness―and in turn invites us to harness the furthest reaches of our healing capacities. Now, sharpen your colored pencils and have fun.” ―Marilyn Schlitz, MA, PhD

“I am excited about sharing this book with my students and clients. It is a game-changer for those people looking to upgrade how they dance through this life, as it is a master playbook. True healing takes place in our subtle bodies where the deepest development of our souls can emerge. Coloring is a therapeutic, harmonic practice that naturally creates an unfolding of all aspects of our mind, body, and spirit. I love this tool!” ―Dr. Light Miller, Ayurvedic College for Well-Being

So far I really like what I see..there was a review that someone posted as a 1star review..I alway looks at that because I want to see the bad as well..but someone posted that when they opened up the book that they could only see a male anus…they couldn’t believe it and posted their discovery as if this had ruined their whole day. OMG woman, are you kidding me? Get your mind set balance and see the whole person. I will post another review as I see it when I dwell more into this fascinating subject, but I just had to st it straight as I could see for myself that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the pictures in this book.

I enjoy colouring energetic bodies/ auras around the human body. I learn about different fields; Auric field, Morphological field – allow exchange between like-minded species and transfer information from one generation to another.., T-field (thought fields) that allow sharing of thoughts or psychic impressions.., L-field subtle electrical field / Life field that serves as a blueprint for life. Universal field also called a zero point field, consisting of photons or units of light that regulate every living thing. And the last one mentioned is Geofields: Earth and cosmological based fields. Meridian system, chakras, subtle energy points.. If you are ready to learn and colour these energy body fields and points it’s a good book to start with.

Like Kelly Solloway’s Yoga Anatomy Coloring Book, I think this subtle body book is great and really helpful. I’ve been teaching yoga and been interested in the energetic body for a long time – this coloring book brings it to life in a way that’s clarifying, informative and fun. Since using it, I feel more secure in my knowledge of the components & systems of the subtle body, in both general and specific ways. I recommend it for anyone who’s fascinated in or is required to learn the body’s energetic structures and systems.

I bought this mainly to learn the Chinese medicine meridians but may also color some of the other pages. I wasn’t going to write a review but noticed that the Liver Meridian pages (56-7) are incorrect. The easiest thing to do is change the numbers on the first page (making them out of order but it’s a lot less work than changing all the text) and the text on the second (picture) page. The order should be:LR-3 (also add yuan-source)LR-4LR-8 (remove yuan-source)LR-1LR-5 (correct)LR-6 (correct)LR-2LR-14 (correct)I cracked up (after having read other reviews), because I also had the experience that the first page the book opened to was the anus page. It must be the middle of the book so opens there on its own.

I had a hard time deciding on what chakra book to get. This was perfect. Don’t listen to the bad reviews the only bad thing about it is the words to color in are very small and I have a terrible tremor so it was hard staying in the lines. But I would recommend this to anyone!!

The illustrations are fantastic. I have learned so much about the meridians and auras just by coloring. There is a plethora of information given by the author. It was recommended to me by one teacher and I shared it with another class and that teacher immediately ordered a copy for himself. I would recommend this coloring book to any one interested in learning about the meridians and reflexology.

This book is AWE SOME. It was exactly what I was looking for to use as a guide to teach others various teaching put into 1 location. Simply Brilliant. I will be using this to help my students understand the human energy as I used it myself. Simply amazing. Not only do i recommend it I want all my students in the future to have one.

I really enjoy this book overall. However, some of the actual physical organs (especially on the Chakra page) are in the incorrect places. I’m sure they’re meant to be more of a representation and I realize this is not a Western anatomy book. However, having the Liver and Spleen below the kidneys and showing the Pancreas plugging into the (retroperitoneal) Kidneys instead of where it actually meets the Spleen is at the very least unhelpful. Part of practicing energy medicine is being able to visualize. And, visualizing organs in the incorrect places/relationship is unhelpful and ineffective. Also, the Tibetan Chakra system could be better explained. There are a few things that seem to just revert back to the Vedic system…and while at their core they are similar, are not the same.

I wish the areas to color were wider.
