Nikola Tesla: Lectures and Patents is one of the first reference works to come out of Belgrade following the arrival of Tesla’s inheritance in 1952. Here is a wealth of information in the form of documents drawn from the Nikola Tesla Museum archive, compiled into a single large volume.
The purpose of Nikola Tesla: Lectures and Patents is to acquaint the reader with Nikola Tesla’s most important works in the numerous fields of science to which he dedicated himself. This book contains two parts: lectures, and patents.
The first part contains five of the most important lectures of Nikola Tesla in chronological order. In these lectures, Tesla explained his achievements in the field of high frequencies and high voltages as well as high-frequency oscillators for electro-therapeutic and other purposes.
The second part deals with Nikola Tesla’s 112 patents registered at the Patent Office of the United States of America. These patents are divided into select groups, each of which arranged according to its order of registration, and ranging from aircraft, circuit controllers, condensers, high frequency engineering, lighting, meters, motors & generators, power distribution, radiant energy, reciprocating engines, turbo machinery, to wireless technology.

Great book, no damage when received!

This book emphasizes the electrical engineering Tesla did, rather than other areas of his work. It was the only book I found that was based on his writings and lectures directly, rather than other people’s biased opinions of his work. If in doubt, always go to the original source — this fits. A nice gift for the engineer in your life and an interesting read. My only negative is that this is a paperback, and the paper is not high quality, but it is a very thick, large book packed with info. Worth it. I packaged this with set of 6 Tesla Patent Wall Prints and a Tesla coil based Plasma Ball Lamp for an outstanding theme-based gift.

There are a great many books for sale that claim to be Nikola Tesla’s work but they will just be excerpts from this book. This is the book that you want. If you read through the titles of the different sections you’ll find that most of those have been individually removed and re-packages other books for sale so save yourself some money and get this first to see.

Sweet Book
This is such a cool book to have out, flip through or just keep on the top shelf. The only lame thing is that the hard cover came a little dented. I’m a little bit of a perfectionist so it was sad that it arrived that way but I’ve noticed books almost always ship with some sort of damage. It is still a top quality book and cool conversation piece. A little bit of history to go through.

A forgotten inventor
Tesla invented some theoretical machines that were ahead of the time. These were his own. This book gives details of them and describes how they were meant to work.Really interesting and detailed.
