Another way we liken natural beauty to the world of food is by assessing our skin like we assess our hunger. Some days, you wake up hungry and need a hearty breakfast, whereas, other days, a green juice calls. Likewise, there are days when your skin will need more love than others. Some days, a deeper cleansing is in order, more hydration, a more active serum. Listen to your body; listen to your skin. Once you learn its language, you’ll become fluent in what you need.
Clearly, we love food, making comparisons at every turn. So, it’s natural we look to food to support our beauty from the inside out. What started as a tiny selection of products on our web site has grown into a thriving grocery corner that has a life of its own. By the time we opened our doors, we had a full shelving unit devoted to the herbs and superfoods we stock. And, our customers keep wanting more. We’ve been surprised (and yet not) by how popular these foods have become, and it thrills us when our customers make the connection between what they eat and how they look and feel. As we’ve said, it’s impossible to separate beauty and wellness. And, what we eat is a cornerstone of health.
Education is vital to our mission. The world of natural beauty is advancing at lightning speed with so much information to distill. The products and practices we live by are new to many. And, to those already indoctrinated, there’s always more to learn. So, we use our clubhouse as a classroom for free education. We enlist our own wellness heroes. Learning is vital to this lifestyle. Really, to any. Meditation, spirit animal quests, talks on adrenal health and tonic demonstrations are just some of the offerings in our curriculum. This component of CAP Beauty is so important to us that we hosted our first event just 2 days after we opened our doors. And, at every event, it thrills us to see the room fill up with busy New Yorkers (not known for their extra free time). We’re inspired by the curious, and we count ourselves among them.
From the first days of visualizing CAP Beauty, we knew the importance of offering treatments. We think of our facials as another way to dive deep, and to learn and understand the nuances of skin and its health. At the time we opened, it was challenging to find a spa that offered truly natural facials. And, those that did relied on just one or two brands. We believe in the importance of diversity, of matching a client’s skin to the perfect product. Because our estheticians can draw from so many product lines, they create a truly bespoke service for each and every one they see. Our clients learn to care for their skin on a deeper and more comprehensive level, and they learn the ever-important technique of facial massage, which is the backbone of our treatments. We teach our clients to understand that their skin is a living organ, one that is constantly shifting and reacting to the environment, both inside and out. It should be nurtured as such. Our CAP Beauty estheticians are like personal trainers for the skin, partners by your side to guide you to your most radiant self. Working out between training sessions is vital to improving fitness, and the self care you continue at home will yield the best results.

10 reviews for High Vibrational Beauty: Recipes & Rituals for Radical Self Care

I love this book. I was concerned after reading some of the reviews, but as an herbalist I figured it wouldn’t be more than I could handle and I was right! It certainly isn’t for everyone (sorry dad, sorry friends who still think of tofu as ‘weird’), but if you’re not a new comer to ‘health and wellness with a bit of a new age-y vibe’ then I recommend it! Yes, there are uncommon ingredients in some recipes, but I already had many on hand and they weren’t too crazy (chaga, ume vinegar, tocos, etc…). Everything I’ve made so far has been delicious and have been hits with my 4 year old, very-not-new-agey husband, and myself. The authors also stress the importance of adapting to what you have and not sweating single ingredients if you have most everything else or can make a substitute. The book is beautiful, inspirational and filled with lovely ideas and is just plain fun to have around.

I preordered this tome last December and have been waiting for its arrival ever since. Today, on its official release date, it arrived! High Vibrational Beauty is a gorgeous textbook to a better way of life. It is well written, thoughtful, intelligent, super passionate, fun and, above all, ultra positive. In a world where looking good is all about the don’ts, HVB is all about the DOs. Everyone can find a practice, a recipe, a new routine in here. I have a feeling that each will lead to another. And in a world where women are so busy taking care of everyone else, HVB is a great reminder to care for yourself in a meaningful and results-reaping way! Make no mistake, while the book is pink and beauty books are usually targeted to women, men will benefit from this book too. So many great recipes and ideas — something for everyone! Thanks to the authors for their mission to develop and to share and to CAP Beauty in NYC and LA for making it easy to get synthetic-free products. Brava on all counts!

This book is not only beautiful but is filled with amazing recipes and rituals. It is a labor of love you can tell from the personalities of the authors to the pictures and all the deliciousness in between. It’s beauty from within. I have been to the flagship store in NYC and had treatments that are the best. Facials and massage from the artist in residence program are beyond wonderful.Kerrilynn and Cindy have truly created a community at the store and online with their fantastic blogs and social media. This book is a culmination of the stores, the blog, and the rituals. The book is another wonderful piece of this wellness community. Kerrilynn, Cindy and CAP Beauty are a force for everyone’s wellness and beauty. Their products are amazing also. The coconut butter is the best. Every product I have tried is fantastic. I look forward to seeing what else is in store for these #womenofwellness.

This gorgeous book truly is about an inside-out, 360-degree approach to beauty. It was written by the founders of CAP Beauty. I love that their products are made in the U.S. and all ingredients are 100% natural. I read a news article today on the appearance of Khloe Kardashian before members of Congress concerning the safety regulation of beauty products. I also have been concerned with this issue for myself and my family and I appreciate the natural and practical approach to beauty this book promotes. I was looking forward to its arrival and I have to say I was delighted with the wonderful vegan and gluten-free recipes as well as the valuable lifestyle tips and beauty advice. The presentation and photography are beyond lovely and HVB would make a perfect coffee table book. However, I plan on taking the advice of the authors and leaving it open on my kitchen counter where it will undoubtedly become “stained, worn and tattered” from daily use!

This book will knock you you off your feet. The info is totally amazing and beautifully written. The photos that accompany the fab info will blow you away. This book is like holding a piece of heaven-um. I’ve purchased one book for myself (a senior) and two others for senior friends, who loved the book as well. My niece who is 30ish is amazed. So in my life it appeals to 30s-70s. Planning to buy this for bday gifts for friends and family. This book is a blow away. Thank you 😊

Was so excited to read this book and I purchased it brand new from Amazon. Disappointed that it has damaged pages in it. It’s obviously been used and it was sold to me as new.

I really love having this book in my collection. I feel it is very informative. I love with these two beautiful women have done with their business. However I must say it is a bit pretentious. I appreciate the time and effort they put into writing such a long paragraphs but I couldn’t help it roll my eyes from time to time when they were talk about their rituals in there Brooklyn apartments. It just sounded a little white lady to me. You can definitely tell they come from vast amounts of privilege. I also need to mention that this is more of a cookbook as well. I wish it had more self-care/Body rituals which is what I expected when purchasing this book since they do run a holistic skin care store. I found that most of the suggested self-care ask involved their products at all have a price tag of at least 75+. I understand bone quality I like I’m quality but sometimes I want to just learn how to make a scrub or mask from things I have at home. Was looking for a little bit more of that but instead I was told to go spend $500 on beauty products. I will say that I do enjoy this book though and like the seasonal suggestions.

There was clearly a lot of time, thought and love poured into this book. It’s full of gorgeous photos. The book is all about self care, self love. The recipies range from foods, to drinks, to body care. The book will take you through rituals you can do during spring summer fall and winter.Overall it’s a good book and I think its be great for anyone who feels overworked and doesn’t slow down and take the time to indulge in life. This book is all about indulgence, and frankly we all need that sometimes. Just keep in mind that ultimately you don’t actually need all of these external things to be vibrant, joyful and healthy. Everything you need to be in bliss and pure joy is cultivated from within. But it’s nice to be indulgent in the pleasures of life.

I saw this book when I was reading about skincare ingredients, etc. I read the entire Kindle sample and I was completely inlove with it – I wanted to read more! So I purchased it (I think it’s an expensive book specially the Kindle version, Kindle books are usually a lot cheaper lol). It does have some good advises and some great quotes, i couldn’t stop reading it the first day but the more I got into it, the more boring and repetitive it became. It feels like you are reading a blog post, not an actual book. After you get to half of this book, you’ll find that the majority of pages are simple recipes – I don’t mean that the recipes are simple, they’re not! I mean recipes that you’re probably not gonna cook because the ingredients are not easy to find or are expensive. I got it becuase of the good advises about selfcare but now is just another recipe book?I wish I could return it. Waste of my money
